Anna and (The) Economist

Last Friday, I, Aco, and some friends had lunch at the School of Dentistry's refectory -- in building E, should you are curious where it is. While walking our way to that place, he told me that The Economist read a hilarious obituary on Anna Nicole Smith. Later on I looked upon that piece and can't agree more with Aco that it's a tragic yet comically amusing.

Now I'm going to ask Manager: if even the prestigious The Economist takes the trouble in making such obituary, can we do the same thing on, say, the late actress who has been found dead in a hotel near Salemba not so long ago?

  1. Now we know why The Economist has always had a policy of not putting a byline in their articles. Whoever wrote the obit would probably prefer to remain unknown.

Look, how can you honestly read an article about, for example, the intricacies of the WTO negotiations written by the same guy who wrote this paragraph without questioning his authority? On WTO I mean.

  2. I read that obit as an economic piece, Zal. Read between the bre-- I mean the lines! Look, a little girl from nowhere who could get access to the silicone thing and managed to exploit its use... Muhammad Yunus should've thought about this.

  3. You can, Rizal. But deliver it our way :-)

  4. Aco, an economic piece? Yeah, right :-))

Manager, as a matter of fact, the honor to write celebrity related obits/tributes/commentaries should go to a.p --for he's an ex chief economist of respectable CCS (Center of Celebrity Studies). Bring it on, mate.
