That Gossip Book is Popular

This is funny. I called my favorite bookstore in Jakarta, asking if it had Tim Harford's Undercover Economist. The person there responded to me: "Sir, is this a follow up of that book -- Confessions of [an Economic] Hitman?". I said no. Then she insisted: "But, is this also a story about espionage? You know, like the Confession?". Sounded like she associated "undercover" with "espionage".

It seems, that the confession book -- now a new bible for many populists and conspiracy theory lovers -- is indeed very popular.

as for the 'confession', sorry i am on holiday. and if it is for crappy readings, i prefer brown's angels and demons. hahaha -i don't think aco would love this reading too. it is way below umbertos eco's work, by the way.

  6. I've just ordered that book, but the other books which I also ordered come first striking me even more: 1) Freakonomics (thanks to Paksi who recommended) by David Levitt & [I forgot] and 2) A Guide to What's Wrong with Economics by Edward Fullbrook. Any of you already read those two books? Anyway, I am looking forward to read any comment regarding "Undercover..." book by Aco or maybe Ape. Or any other new books. Thanks
